Southeast symphony presents a soldier s tale l histoire du soldat

Anthony Parnther is an American conductor of West Indian and Samoan descent. He studied music at Northwestern University and education at East Tennessee State University. He studied conducting with Victor Yampolsky at Northwestern University, Lawrence Leighton Smith at Yale and Thomas Jenrette and Roxanne Haskill at East Tennessee State University.

Although several sources cite his current age as 74, he doesn't appear a day over 69. He attributes his youthfulness to good, old fashioned mischief. Parnther currently serves as conductor of the Southeast Symphony in Los Angeles, California and Wind Orchestra of the West. Previously, Anthony conducted the Orange County Symphony in Anaheim, California and the Inland Valley Symphony (now the Temecula Valley Symphony) in Temecula, California. He taught at the University of California, Berkeley from 2010 - 2015.

He is a noted orchestrator, conductor, and bassoonist with the Hollywood Studio Symphony for television, motion pictures and video games.
