Anna Woodward

Anna Woodward (1868–1935) was an American painter who was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1868. She studied painting at the Académie Julian in Paris with Tony Robert-Fleury, Jules Joseph Lefebvre, and William-Adolphe Bouguereau, and also with George Hitchcock in Holland. By 1918, she was in Hawaii with a studio near Waikiki. During the 1920s and 1930s she produced illustrations and paintings for Paradise of the Pacific. Woodward died in Honolulu in 1935.
