Angel Yvonne Lewis-Johnson (born June 11, 1987) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as The Church Lady in Almost Christmas and guest appearances on the Steve Harvey TV series.

Life and career

Yvonne was born in 1987 in Kansas City, Missouri. Her mother was a nurse, and her father was a supervisor for a steel company. Yvonne knew she wanted to be an artist from childhood from drawing with her grandmother and sister on her porch. She wanted to be an actor from childhood too...often getting mistaken for the "Olivia" character from Cosby. However, it wasn't till she was 6 years old and saw her favorite childhood actress Whoopie Goldberg in "Sister Act" on the big screen, that she knew acting was going to be in her future. She was a student at the University of Missouri Kansas City where she studied art and theater. During her undergraduate years at the university she volunteered her time as a film ambassador at the (http://www.kcfilmfest.org) The Kansas City Film Festivals], where she promoted indie films and hosted Q&A sessions with the filmmakers. In 2014, she made her television debut as a guest star in an episode of the Steve Harvey TV series. The following year she was featured in the church scene of director David E. Talbert's motion picture Almost Christmas. Yvonne spends her time acting and painting, while raising her three children: Isaiah and Isaac (twins) and daughter Aleah with her husband Andres Johnson.
