Andrew Alexander (May 1935 – 5 July 2015) was an English journalist and columnist for The Daily Mail.

He was the unsuccessful Conservative candidate at the Colne Valley by-election, 1963. He won Specialist Writer of the Year in the British Press Awards for 1976. He was denounced in the House of Commons by the Labour MP Dennis Canavan as "that prizewinning cynical jackass".

He is most known for writing a book on American Imperialism titled America and the Imperialism of Ignorance.

He was a director of the board of Britannia Entertainment Limited. The company was involved in producing To the Lighthouse, The Weather in the Streets and Coast to Coast.

Alexander died at age 80 on 5 July 2015.
