Andrea Vrana (fl. 1261) was an Albanian nobleman appointed by Manfred of Sicily as captain of Durazzo (Durrës). The Vrana family was based in the castle of Xibër village in the Mat District.
Life
Manfred of Sicily, who had imposed a military government in Durazzo, appointed Andrea Vrana as capitano (captain) of the city. He hailed from the well-known local Vrana noble family. The family were based in Xibër village in the Mat District.
Andrea Vrana was about to burn the Monastery of San Salvatore. and is mentioned in a church inscription from Rubik, northern Albania, dated to 1261-1266 as "capt Arban Cmibri, Andrea Vrana" (Albanian: kapitani Arbëve të Cmimbrit).
