André Rafael Ferreira Fernandes (born April 1, 1982 in Oporto) is a Portuguese musician, composer and producer who creates film scores and original music for television and movies.

Film and television
He produced original music for several mainstream advertising campaigns and has developed music and sound for the child-oriented scientific TV show Ciência por Miúdos [2010] (Science for Kids). In cinema, he has directed both the sound and music department of the movie Um Funeral à Chuva [2010] (Funeral in the rain) - by Portuguese film maker Telmo Martins and edited by José Nascimento - creating the lead soundtrack and sound design.
Music
As a musician, the multi-instrumentist is part of several music acts such as Ghost Orchid and (arua). While Ghost Orchid is a more song-oriented atmospheric post rock project, (aura) is a more experimental project going through antagonistic and diversified musical styles and fusing the music itself with lots of sound design and cinematic elements. (aura)'s debut album invisible landscape is an imaginary soundtrack inspired on the photographic work of José Ramos.
His previous bands and projects include Universe Denied and Vanguarda (as drummer), among others. He also has a live jam duo with his brother Marcelo Fernandes known as Irmãos Brothers, known for their intense and psychedelic live performances, on underground clubs.
Abutre Netlabel
Fernandes is also the director of the independent netlabel Abutre Netlabel, which releases and promotes freely - in a digital format - works from experimental artists like 1 is the Lonely Number, Ghost Orchid, Universe Denied, Akasha, Mindshelter, among others. In Abutre, he also assumes the tasks of web and graphic designer.
