Ambrose Foss (c. 1803 in England — 1862 in Sydney, Australia) was a chemist, druggist and dentist in Sydney. He also became an alderman for the city of Sydney, and a church deacon. Ambrose Foss and his colleague Edward Hunt founded the Congregational Church in New South Wales. Foss built a house called Forest Lodge after which a Sydney suburb is named.

His daughter Emily Jane Foss married Henry Chamberlain Russell.
