Ambrose is a former settlement in Contra Costa County, California. It was located on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad 3.5 miles (5.6 km) west of Pittsburg, at an elevation of 16 feet (5 m). It still appeared on maps as of 1918.
