Amara Piyaseeli Ratnayake is a Sri Lankan politician and current Governor of the North Western Province of Sri Lanka. She was former member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka and a former government minister. She is a longstanding member of the Sri Lanka's biggest political party Member for Wariyapola Electorate the United National Party. She was the Minister of Woman's affairs in the 2001-2004 UNP government. She entered politics from Kurunegala after her husband's death.
