The altitude latitude theory states that, with latitude and altitude constant, a species of plant or animal can be transferred or replanted anywhere on Earth at various longitudes of both hemispheres. A longitudinal migration must have similar weather conditions.

The transplantation of species should, according to the theory, also take into account the behaviors and presence of its predators.

The migration of birds and animals as observed in nature can be accepted for conservation of endangered species by providing a similar environment at various parts of the earth.
