Along for the Ride Tour was the name of a worldwide tour by the American progressive metal band Dream Theater, in support of their 13th studio album Dream Theater. The tour began 15 January 2014 in Oporto, Portugal and concluded 30 October 2014 in Sydney.

Contents

The tour started with a European leg which ran from 15 January until 2 March. A North American leg followed shortly after, and lasted during March and April. A second European leg, which included an appearance at the Sonisphere festivals, followed during July. Dates in South America were also held during September and October. The shows in Japan and Australia (their first shows there since 2009) served as the final leg of the tour.

On 21 August 2014, a release of the concert at the Boston Opera House on 25 March 2014 was announced, and a promotional video of the live performance of "The Looking Glass" was uploaded on YouTube. It was released as Breaking the Fourth Wall on 29 September 2014 on CD, DVD and Blu-ray.

Typical setlist

The tour had the particularity of keeping the same setlist for every leg, although it was not the same order. However, no songs from When Day and Dream Unite, Images and Words, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, Train of Thought, Octavarium and Systematic Chaos were played. (The exception was the concert at Knebworth on July 6 and the Asian concerts, where Pull Me Under was played).
