Alkeyevsky District (Russian: Альке́евский райо́н; Tatar: Әлки районы, Əlki rayonı) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the south of the republic. The area of the district is 1,726.8 square kilometers (666.7 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Bazarnye Mataki. Population: 19,991 (2010 Census); 22,059 (2002 Census); 23,031 (1989 Census). The population of Bazarnye Mataki accounts for 29.5% of the district's total population.
