Aliakmonas is a Greek village in the municipality of Voio in the regional unit of Kozani built on the left bank of the River Aliakmon (hence the name).

It is the lowest village of Voio with 550 meters altitude with a view from the southeast to the northwest due to the gradual lifting of soil hills. Shows the Tymfi mountains Smolikas, Voio, Grammos and northeast has Rizo mountain Askio. It has fertile plain in the valley of Aliakmonas river. Maintained production of tobacco and wheat, while the residents are engaged in farming.

Between the village and the last river has built the Vertical axis of Egnatia exit bearing the name of Aliakmonas double the village. So access from Kozani (54 km) and Thessaloniki was quick and easy (about 90 minutes from Thessaloniki). From the seat of the Municipality of Naples, Naples, located 5 km.

In the village since 2009 a folklore museum, housed in the old village school.

History

Near the village (in the "Nochtos" position) there was an ancient settlement, as attested ancient findings eg the statue of Aphrodite of the 4th century BC sculptor Scopa, and has been found and the mosaic floor of the early Christian church year.

The village is mentioned in the code of Zavorda, 1534, stating the Vrantini name. Until 1927 he was called Vratini. The name was changed to Paliourion by 1960 and to date has Aliakmonas name. Statistical reporting in the early 20th century, referred to as a Greek village in the sanjak Servia with a population of 400 inhabitants and the edge of the village may have had up to 750 inhabitants.
