Alexander S. Farkas (1930 – 28 July 1999) was a U.S. department store owner.
He was the son of George Farkas, who founded the Alexander's department store chain, and Ruth Lewis Farkas, a sociologist and ambassador to Luxembourg.
He attended Choate and The Bronx High School of Science. He received an A.B. from the University of Chicago in 1949 and studied business at Cornell University, before being brought into his family business in 1951.
He died of cancer on July 28, 1999 in Highland Park, Florida.
