Albert Carreres

Albert Carreres (born June 13, 1981 in Girona, Spain) is a Spanish cartoonist.

Biography

Albert Carreres studied drawing at Joso's comic school in Barcelona. His first drawings as a professional were made for Hand 7, a soccer comic published in publishing house Les Humanoïdes Associés' shogun magazine in 2007. He then worked on Cars : The Rookie, a comic book published by Boom! Studiosacting as a prequel for Pixar's movie Cars and on a short story for Marvel's Iron Man, before the videogame was released in 2008. He then worked with Makma studio on the three volumes of Banc de Touche, written by Ed Tourriol and Daniel Fernandes, which were first pre-published in the French sport newspaper L'Équipe during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. After that, Albert worked for the American market, drawing a comic book for Voltron Force. He came back to France, again with Makma studios, drawing the humoristic soccer-related comic book Zlatan Style and Urban Rivals, inspired by the online video-game.

Albert Carreres is currently working with Ed Tourriol, Daniel Fernandes and Makma studios on a soccer comic called The Z Team.
