Akwasi Fobi-Edusei (born 12 September 1986), sometimes listed as Akwasi Fobe-Edusei or simply Akwasi Edusei, is an English association footballer currently playing for Isthmian League Division One South club Crawley Down Gatwick.

Playing career

Born in Camberwell, London, he began his career with Gillingham, where he made 9 appearances in The Football League. In 2005, he then went on to score the winning goal against Liverpool at Anfield in the FA Youth Cup 4th round. In 2006 it was reported on Sky Sports News that his performances had alerted both Millwall and Bristol City who were both weighing up offers for the young winger. He is well known for his lightning pace and strong left foot. It was alleged in 2006 that he was called up to the Ghana under-19 national side where both of his parents are from but due to injury had to pull out. He has also played on loan for Welling United and Farnborough. In 2013, he was released by Burgess Hill Town and was signed by Hastings United on a free transfer. On 28 November he joined Horsham but failed to start a match, making 13 substitute appearances, before joining Crawley Down Gatwick in March 2014.
