Agha Iqrar Haroon (Urdu: آغا اقرار ہارون (Russian: Ага АКрар Харун ; born August 16, 1965) is a Pakistani. Haroon is a research journalist and political analyst and started his career in 1986, with Progressive Press International (PPI). Early life and education
Born in 1965, Haroon grew up in Lahore, Pakistan and Registered as P.H.D (Anthropology) scholar in Quaid -e- Azam university Islamabad. He has attended Central Model High School and went to Government College Lahore where he completed his bachelor's degree in social work and psychology before completing Masters in Philosophy. Haroon is also grand son of Hifz-ur-Rehman who was a Pakistani archaeologist, historian and linguist and son of Abdul Aziz, managing proprietor of the newspaper Paisa Akhbaar. Hifz-ur-Rehman was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz by Government of Pakistan for his valuable donations to Lahore Museum. Rehman is known for his services in the field of archaeology, history and linguistic research
