Dr. jur. Adolf Baum (28 October 1916 – 4 December 1942) was a highly decorated Oberleutnant in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Adolf Baum was wounded during the Battle of Stalingrad and died from his wounds on 4 December 1942 in Krakow. He was posthumously awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 21 December 1942.
