Adelaide Miethke

Adelaide Laetitia Miethke, OBE (8 June 1881 – 4 February 1962), was an educator and teacher who was pivotal in the formation of the School of the Air using the existing Royal Flying Doctor Service radio network.

She was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1937. Numerous Preschools and Kindergartens in South Australia are named in her honor.
