Adam Courchaine (born February 20, 1989) is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing with the Louisiana IceGators (SPHL)
Playing career
Courchaine began his junior career with the Orleans Blues of the Central Junior A Hockey League (CJHL) in 2006–07. Undrafted by an NHL team, he was signed as a free agent by the Boston Bruins, September 30, 2007. That season, Courchaine joined the major junior ranks with the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League, posting a 17-25-4 record with a 3.24 goals against average (GAA) and .905 save percentage in 2007–08. Upon the completion of his first OHL season, the Bruins assigned him to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins, where he made his professional debut, winning two of three appearances with a 1.67 GAA and .920 save percentage. After the completion of his second OHL season, Courchaine again went to Providence and is listed on the team roster for the 2009-10 season. Courchaine was traded from the 67's to the Sarnia Sting in the 2009 off-season. In January of the 2009-2010 season Courchaine was traded to the Erie Otters.
After taking a year off hockey following his release from Greenville, Courchaine enrolled into Ryerson University in 2013. For the 2014-15 season Adam left Ryerson to play for the Mississippi Riverkings of the SPHL having a successful season with 30+ starts. During the summer Adam was traded to the Louisiana IceGators (SPHL) where he will start the 2015-16 season.
