Location

Intersection of Cold Pond and Lynn Hill Rds., Acworth, New Hampshire

The Acworth Silsby Library is the public library of Acworth, New Hampshire. The library is located on the town common, at the junction of Cold Pond and Lynn Hill Roads, in a 1-1/2 story brick building built in 1891. The Romanesque structure was designed and built by Hira R. Beckwith of Claremont, and funded by a bequest from Acworth native Ithiel Homer Silsby, who had made his fortune as a Boston, Massachusetts hotelier. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
