Abul Hasnat Abdullah is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a member of Parliament. He represents barisal-1 in the parliament. he has studied upto Secondary School Certificate (grade 10). He was chief whip of parliament in the Awami league government from 1996 to 2001. He is a cousin of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and central member of Awami league. His father is former Awami league leader and water resource minister Abdur Rab Serniabat, who was killed in the assassination of Sheikh Mujib. His mother and siblings were also killed in the coup. He is chairman of Abdul Hakim High School in Rangabali Upazila, Patuakhali.
