Abu Sayyaf beheading incidents

Since the 1990s, the Abu Sayyaf (ASG) who is a radical Sunni Islamist group has aggressively targeting civilians and were known for their mutilation style. By 2000, the Abu Sayyaf has turned more aggressively by beheading many Filipino civilians including foreigners from neighbouring and other countries after kidnapping them. The group are mainly operating in the Sulu Archipelago of the Philippines.
