Ros has mysteriously vanished and when her car is found in a river, Beckett is forced to resign. Elsewhere, a dormant eco-terrorist group reawakens when an enormously-powerful government minister begins dealing in bio-weapons.
Trivia
Season Four was marked by the change of actors portraying Ed, moving from Craig McLachlan to Steven Houghton. This was particularly noticeable given that McLachlan has a strong Australian accent, and Houghton, Northern English: "Interestingly, nobody noticed that he'd swapped his Aussie twang for a Northern accent – perhaps they thought he'd just become Anglicised."
