Abdul Aziz Ben Sharaf Ben Rajeh Al Shanbari is a citizen of Saudi Arabia who was formerly associated with a Saudi dissident group. He spent two years in London working with the Movement for Islamic Reform in Arabia.

Abdul Aziz's brother Abdullah told reporters that Abdul Aziz voluntarily surrendered, and regretted "every minute" he worked with Saad Al Faqih, the director of the Movement for Islamic Reform in Arabia. The group has been accused of supporting Osama bin Laden's Al Qaeda network, and of spreading false information criticizing Saudi Arabia.

Abdul Aziz was reported to have issued a statement that said:

A statement from Saad Al Faqih attributed Abdul Aziz surrender to an agreement with the Saudi government to free relatives of his the Saudi government was holding and the release of confiscated family property. The statement reported that Abdul Aziz was a descendant of the family that had ruled Mecca until 1920, and the assumption of power of the current Saudi dynasty.
