Aaron D. Ames is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering in Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA starting July 2015. Formerly, he was an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering in Texas A&M University, College Station, USA. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, Berkeley in 2006 under S. Shankar Sastry. He won the Donald P. Eckman Award for his contributions in bipedal robotic research in 2015.
