AX Circini is a star in the constellation Circinus. A Cepheid variable, its apparent magnitude ranges from 5.6 to 6.19 over 5.3 days. It is a yellow-white supergiant of spectral type F8II+ and is around 1600 light years away. A spectroscopic binary, it has a 5 solar-mass (M☉) companion that is a blue-white star of spectral type B6; the two stars orbit each other every 18 years.
