AVC SH (Audiovizuálnà centrum (Audiovisual Center) Silicon Hill) was one of the most successful projects of Silicon Hill, a club of the Student Union at Czech Technical University in Prague. It broadcasts online and offers free downloads of video-lectures, reports from cultural events and other interesting events.
AVC was a non-profit project run by students interested in audio, video and streaming technologies. They did it free of charge and were motivated solely by the results of their work, which they publish on their website. AVC members are well known for spending long nights with video postprocessing and recording.
Financial resources for the technical equipment was granted by the Silicon Hill club, CTU Prague, Student Union, CESNET (provider of streaming servers for AVC) and some other organisations.
Some of the projects which AVC is proud to include are the live streaming of the European championship in Korfball or the UN conference "Tolerance 95"
