AOL Sessions Undercover is an extended play (EP) and live album by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, released in the United States on March 13, 2007 by Virgin Records. It features an acoustic performance taped on August 23, 2006 for the television series Sessions@AOL. The show's purpose was to present name artists, and feature them acoustic or stripped of studio equipment. The extended play includes acoustic versions of two songs extracted from Thirty Seconds to Mars second studio album, A Beautiful Lie (2005) and a cover version of a song by The Police.

Background

Thirty Seconds to Mars recorded their performance on August 23, 2006 when they were touring in support of their second studio album A Beautiful Lie (2005). The show was released through AOL as a part of its Sessions@AOL series. The episode featuring Thirty Seconds to Mars premiered on AOL Music websites in September 2006. The webcast performance included the tracks "The Story", "The Kill", and "Message in a Bottle", and an interview with Jared Leto.

The concert was released as a three-track extended play on March 13, 2007 in digital format by Virgin Records.
