The game features several locations through which players can roam freely: Alf's house, street, basement of the house, ALF's backyard and a pond in the backyard. As in any quest for the passing game must collect various objects: a stick of salami, which can be used to deal with the bats, scuba gear, allowing him to plunge to the bottom of the pond, among other things. Items can be found as the game progresses and some can be purchased through the in-game store.

In most of the reviews, ALF received fairly low ratings. Reception was generally negative. Criticism was leveled at virtually all aspects of the game: graphics, music creation, management and gameplay. Many tips for the cause of many deficiencies were identified in the rush of their release and the limited budget.
