A. M. Ariff is a leftist politician and Member of Kerala Legislative Assembly from Aroor constituency, Alappuzha district. He is representing the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He started his political career from his college days with SFI. He was holding a number of posts representing the party in his college times and his social carrier. He is an Advocate by profession. He was born in Mannar on 20 May 1964.
