8815 Deanregas, provisionally designated 1984 DR, is a main-belt asteroid. It was discovered by Belgian astronomer Henri Debehogne at La Silla Observatory in Chile on February 23, 1984.
The name for this minor planet was suggested by Fred N. Bowman for Dean Regas, Outreach Astronomer of the Cincinnati Observatory, co-host of the iconic PBS show Star Gazers and educator to thousands.
