72 Pegasi (72 Peg) is a class K4III (orange giant) star in the constellation Pegasus. Its apparent magnitude is 4.97 and it is approximately 550 light years away based on parallax.

In addition to the primary, there is one companion, B, with magnitude 6.11, type K5III, and separation about 0.5", orbiting with a period of 246 years and eccentricity around 0.28; B is itself a spectroscopic binary with a 4.2 year period.
