6 Geminorum, also designated BU Geminorum (abbrev: BU Gem), is a red supergiant, located in the constellation Gemini. BU Geminorum is a semiregular variable star, found southwest of M 35, below WY Geminorum, with magnitudes +5.7 to +7.5 v over a period of 325 days. At its brightest the star is barely visible to the naked eye but visible with binoculars. It has been given the sub-classification of Lc "Irregular variable supergiants of late spectral types having amplitudes of about 1 mag. in V.O".
