6-Acetoxydihydrotheaspirane is not reported found in nature. Its appearance is partly-liquid, partly-crystalline. It is not soluble in water, but is soluble in fats. It reportedly has been used in baked goods, instant coffee, condiments, relishes, gravies and it has been discovered that tobacco companies use this chemical. Its functions in foods is unknown.
