The 2017 Vanier Cup, the 53rd edition of the Canadian university football championship, will take place on November 25, 2017 at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario. This will be the fifth time that the city of Hamilton has hosted the Vanier Cup and the second consecutive year that the championship will be played at Tim Hortons Field. With this game, the city of Hamilton will surpass Quebec City as the second most frequent host of Vanier Cup games. Quebec city has hosted four games and Toronto has hosted the most times with 41 games at three different venues.
Semi-Championships
The Vanier Cup is played between the champions of the Mitchell Bowl and the Uteck Bowl, the national semi-final games. In 2016, according to the rotating schedule, the Canada West Hardy Trophy championship team will host the Atlantic conference's Loney Bowl championship team for the Mitchell Bowl. The winners of the Québec conference Dunsmore Cup will host the Yates Cup Ontario championship team for the Uteck Bowl.
