4440 Tchantchès is a main belt asteroid with an orbital period of 972.6 days (2.66 years). It is a binary asteroid.
The asteroid was discovered by François Dossin on December 23, 1984. It is named in honor of the popular Walloon folklore character Tchantchès (François).
