3628 Božněmcová, provisionally known as 1979 WD, is a main belt asteroid with an orbital period of 1,477 days (4.04 years). The asteroid was discovered at the Czech Kleť Observatory on November 25, 1979 and named in memory of Božena Němcová (1820–1862), a Czech writer, author of the well-known book The Grandma. Naming citation was published on 4 June 1993 ().

3628 Božněmcová is the best known asteroid of the rare group of O-type asteroids. Its spectra best fits those of the L6 and LL6 ordinary chondrite-type meteorites.
