36 Lyncis, also known by its variable star designation of EI Lyncis, is a star in the constellation Lynx. It is a blue giant of spectral type B8III. It has been classified as an SX Arietis variable. Located around 580 light-years distant, it shines with a luminosity approximately 325 times that of the Sun and has a surface temperature of 11644 K.
