The 35th Gawad Urian Awards or Ika-35 na Gawad Urian were held on June 13, 2012 at the AFP Theater in Quezon City. They honored the best Filipino films for the year 2011.
An indie film,Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa dominated the ceremony which received 7 awards, including Best Film. Aside from the Best Picture, the film also reaped the Best Director and Best Director for Alvin Yapan, Best Music for Christine Muyco and Jema Pamintuan, and Best Cinematography for Arvin Viola. Maja Salvador won her first Gawad Urian for Best Actress and she was so happy and teary eyed while accepting the award
