31 Pegasi (31 Peg) is a class B2IV-V (blue subgiant) star in the constellation Pegasus. Its apparent magnitude is 4.99 and it is approximately 1600 light years away based on parallax.
It is a γ Cas variable, a type of shell star with a circumstellar disc of gas surrounding the star at the equator, ranging from 5.05 to 4.85 magnitude.
