2121 Sevastopol, provisionally designated 1971 ME, is a main-belt binary asteroid discovered on June 27, 1971 by Tamara Smirnova at Crimean Astrophysical Observatory.

The asteroid was named after the Crimean city on the 200th anniversary of its foundation.

Satellite

In 2010 a moon was discovered around the asteroid, orbiting at a distance of 26 kilometers with a diameter of 3.54 ± 0.17 km.
