20th Century Fox Cinema Classics Collections refers to a collection of DVDs released by 20th Century Fox. The series premiered in January 2006, with the releases of Island in the Sun, Pinky, and Stormy Weather.

Cinema Classics vs. Studio Classics

The Cinema Classics Collection is a successor to the earlier Fox series Studio Classics. Some films that were released as Studio Classics have subsequently been re-released as Cinema Classics. Some of the differences between the two series are:

  • All Studio Classic titles consist of a single disc, while many Cinema Classic titles are 2-disc sets or boxed DVD sets featuring individual film actors or series. Sometimes the films in the sets are available for sale separately, and sometimes they are not.
  • Studio Classics are numbered on their spines; Cinema Classics are not.
  • Single-disc Cinema Classic DVDs come packaged not only with a standard DVD keepcase, but are also enclosed inside a decorative cardstock slipcover.
