The 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, the 18th edition of FIBA's premier international tournament for women's national basketball teams but the first to bear the "World Cup" designation, will be held in Spain from 22 to 30 September 2018. The United States is the first to qualify by virtue of beating Spain 101–72 at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro for the gold medal.
