The 101st Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade is an event to be sanctioned by the Verizon IndyCar Series scheduled for Sunday May 28, 2017, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The event is scheduled for 200 laps (500 miles). It will be the premier event and the 6th race of the 2017 IndyCar season. Alexander Rossi will enter the race as the defending champion.
