Novak Djokovic was the two-time defending champion and successfully defended his title, defeating Kei Nishikori in the final, 6–3 6–3. This was Djokovic's 3rd consecutive Indian Wells-Miami double (fourth overall), equalling Agassi's 6 Miami Masters titles, and his record 28th Masters 1000 title.
