The 2016 Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens football team represented the University of Delaware in the 2016 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They played their home games at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Delaware. They were members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). They were led by fourth year head coach Dave Brock for the first six games. He was fired on October 16, following the loss to William & Mary. Co-Defensive Coordinator Dennis Dottin-Carter was named interim coach. They finished the season 4–7, 2–6 in CAA play to finish in tenth place.
