The 54th Rolex 24 at Daytona was an endurance sports car racing event held at the Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida from 28–31 January 2016. The 54th running of the 24 Hours of Daytona was also the first race for the 2016 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
Race
** All Lamborghini GTD Teams were penalized the equivalent of a stop and hold plus 5 minutes, stripped of all points from the race, and Lamborghini fined $25,000 for violating Balance of Performance rules.
*** Car 96 moved to the rear of the GTD field for violating maximum driver time rules
