The 2014–15 season was Sloboda Užice's 1st season in the Serbian First League after getting relegated from the SuperLiga on the final matchday of the 2013-14 season .During the summer president Dragan Subotić left the club after expiration of his term. Coach Ljubiša Stamenković left as well. On 17 July at the assembly election new board was voted and Branko Bogićević was named as chairman of the board. The next day Sloboda promoted Ljubiša Dmitrović as the new head coach of the club. Pre-season started on 18 July 2014.Dmitrović left the club after only one game in charge, due to a dispute with the board. Assistant and former captain Ivan Janjić took over as the caretaker manager. On 18 September former player Milenko Kiković took over as the club's head coach. After a turbulent winter(searching for a new chairman and the club being on the brink of extinction) the pre-season started on 22 January. After a bad start to the second part of the season Kiković was sacked on 6 April after a 2-0 defeat away to Moravac. Subsequently,former player and coach Predrag Ristanović was named as the new manager. On the last day of the season,Sloboda avoided relegation with a 1-1 draw against Bačka BP .
