Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual were the defending champions, but they decided not to compete together. Ruano Pascual partnered up with Meghann Shaughnessy, but they lost in the first round against Cara Black and Elena Vesnina. Medina Garrigues partnered up with Liezel Huber, but they lost in the semifinals to Serena Williams and Venus Williams.

The Williams sisters won in the final 6–2, 6–3, against Květa Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik. With this win, the Americans became the sixth and seventh women to have completed a non-calendar year Grand Slam in Women's Doubles.
